Cooperativity Mechanisms and Collective Decision-making

The goal of the project are to develop mathematical models, analyze data and carry out experiments on a variety of species, from slime mould type of organisms to ants in order to see how decision-making is achieved under the presence of several options and of several cooperatively mechanisms. The methodology adopted will be based on nonlinear deterministic mathematical models and on numerical simulations where the stochasticity of the individuals and/or environment are taken into account.
