Development Space: Data-driven dynamical systems models for studying human development.

The 'Development Space' project uses mathematical models in the study of human development. Instead of focusing solely on economic growth as the engine of human development, we look at a set of factors (including economic growth, health, educational attainments, technological progress etc.) as a coupled dynamical system. This results in the study of models in the state space defined by the trajectories of countries as they move through different states defined by these development indicators. We use these models both to validate economic theories and to predict general trends for policymakers.
